Naveen Jain: Stands Triumphant in Business and Philanthropy

Naveen Jain founded Intelius in 2003 with a vision to provide integrated information to consumers and businesses online, giving them the security they deserve as well as equipping them with all the right “intelligence” to help them come up with the decisions. With its headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, Intellius originally operated as an online search engine and directory, and it now offers a variety of products and services including social net search, criminal checks, property reports, employee screening, identity protection, and background checks among others. With Intelius on hand, people no longer have to worry about their identity taken away or robbed from them. Intelius also allows people to reconnect with longtime friends and associates whom they have not kept in touch with for some time. On account of the innovations he made in the field of electronic commerce, Naveen Jain’s relentless passion for leadership and entrepreneurship has earned him and his company various accolades. In 2008, Deloitte ranked the 500 fastest growing companies in the areas of life sciences, media, technology, and telecommunications in North America and Intelius was 127th. Other recognitions bagged by the company include “America’s Top 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies” by Inc. Magazine; “One of Washington’s Top Three Best Workplaces” by Puget Sound Business Journal; “Best New Company” by the American Business Awards; among the top 15 Corporate Philanthropists in the greater Puget Sound area; and “Rising Star” in Deloitte & Touche’s Technology Fast 500 Program. Aside from excelling in business, Naveen Jain also makes sure that his business reaches out to the community. In 2008, the company has made contributions amounting to almost $210,000; benefiting some local and national nonprofit organizations and setting a new “corporate giving” record for the company.
